Tired After Eating on OMAD (One Meal a Day)? Here’s why! – Dr.Berg

Hey guys, I wanted to do a video based on a question someone had relating to feeling tiredafter eating on OMAD, one meal a day. So there’s usually two reasons why you’re tired after youeat. One is you’re pre-diabetic and you have insulin resistance, which means you have highinsulin. But if you’re not a pre-diabetic, like this lady I talked to wasn’t a diabetic or evenpre-diabetic. In her situation, it was really just the parasympathetic nervous system kicking in.

Now, what is the parasympathetic nervous system? This is the system that is called rest and digest,as in sleeping and digestion. So your entire digestive system is under this system right here.Compared to the sympathetic nervous system, which is flight or fight, being chased by a tiger.so during the day you’re mostly sympathetic and you’re not as much parasympathetic but at nightyou’re like 100% parasympathetic and you are going to get a little better digestion at night

just for the fact that you’re starting to activate this system right here. So it’s totally okay tohave your one meal at eight o’clock at night or even at nine o’clock at night and then go to beda little bit later. It’s not a problem at all. So what I told this person, basically,it’s not always a pre-diabetic situation. It could just be that you’re stimulating theparasympathetic system, and that’s just one of the effects that’s created. But I would also want

to make sure that you’re taking enough apple cider vinegar or betaine hydrochloride to stimulate thedigestive system so you can get full digestion. Because if you have incomplete digestion,especially at the stomach level or any level, that can make you tired after eating as well.All right, guys.
