Armour Thyroid versus Synthroid

So today I want to cover a very, very important question related to why I wear so many blueshirts in all of my videos. Well, I’m wearing yellow today, so I broke the trend. So I guesswe’ll just talk about the thyroid. This is a common question that a lot of people have. What’s the main difference between armothyroid and Synthroid? Which one’s best? So let’s kindof dive into this topic. Synthroid is a synthetic thyroid hormone, T4. Okay, T4 has to be converted

into T3 to be active. Another name for T4 is levothyroid or levothyroxine. Now we get toarmor thyroid. This is a natural extract from a pig’s thyroid, and it has more than just T4.It has T3. It has other thyroid hormones, including calcitonin. Now calcitonin is something thatyou don’t really see a lot of data on calcitonin, but this is a very important hormonethat only the thyroid makes. So if your doctor is recommending Synthroid, bring this up. Ask the

doctor, why aren’t you giving me calcitonin, especially if you had your thyroid removed? So calcitonin has to do with calcium and bone density. Armour Thyroid takes two weeks to reallystart making changes. Synthroid takes a little bit longer because this has to convert into T3.and almost every single cell in your body uses T3. But here’s the thing. If your problem is thatyou’re not converting T4 to T3, then this is not going to work. Selenium is very important,

but there are other nutrients as well that help in this conversion. Also realize that the conversionmostly happens to the liver and the kidney. So there could be a problem with the liveror your gallbladder. Your liver could be fatty. You could have cirrhosis. You could haveinflammation. You can have a gallbladder that’s congested. You can have a problem with the kidney. All these things can interfere with the conversion as well as certain missing nutrients. Some of the

top symptoms for a hypothyroid would be tired, cold, hair loss, mental sluggishness, and weightgain. There’s a lot of other ones. I believe that most hypothyroid problems are secondary tosomething else. I did a video on that. I put a link down below. I don’t want to get sidetracked, but if you actually increase too much estrogen in the body, that will suppress your thyroid. If you increase too much cortisol in the body, that will suppress the thyroid. And if you increase

too much insulin, that will also suppress the thyroid function. Now, there are a few othernatural thyroid extracts out there. One would be Nature Throid. The other one is NP Thyroid. Now, if you are reacting in a negative way to any of these and you get the symptom of extreme fatigueor the flu-like symptoms, what’s probably happening is you have a condition called Hashimoto’s,which is an autoimmune condition. Now, the way to look at Hashimoto’s, to keep it simple,

is that you basically have an allergy to your own thyroid gland and you are making antibodies.and these antibodies are preventing the thyroid from working correctly because it raisesinflammation. So you have histamines involved, which make you tired. And so if you’re actuallytaking the actual thyroid extracts, things that your body’s reacting to or allergic to,you’re going to be very, very tired. And that’s probably what’s going on.

Now, I did create a video of a potential solution if you react to any of these. Specifically, you’re really, really tired or you have flu-like symptoms. It could be that your immune system isreacting, or it also could be some of the inactive ingredients in these products. Sometimes they putcornstarch and dextrose, and it can affect your blood sugars. I’m not sure of the inactiveingredients with Synthroid. All right, in summary, to answer the question, which one would I recommend?

I really can’t tell you to take one versus the other. All I want to do is give you moreinformation to do further research so you can decide yourself with the help of your doctor.I do like Armour Thyroid simply because it has the whole package. So it’s definitely somethingto consider. And I’m also not saying that if you take this synthetic T4 that your thyroidpotentially could be making these other ones as well. But the bottom line is if you’re taking

a medication and you’re not seeing change with your symptoms that you went in with, then you may want to consider another solution. Thanks for watching. So if you want more knowledge on how to create a healthy body, subscribe now and get dailynotifications.
