Chest Training “Unleashed” - Dips Tips (MUST SEE!)

It’s cool. Young Reese. [Music] Hey guys, Jeff Cavalier from athlex. com. Yes, I got with me a few few guests.

These are my dogs. All three of them actually. And these guys, I want I think there’s a good thing that we can learn from dogs. And that is they’re always ready. They don’t make excuses.

You know, if you go to the front door, they’re the first ones there with you wanting to get out. If you want to go for a walk, they want to go with you. If you want to go for a ride, they want to go with you. If you want to do a video, this one wants to lay with you. You know, they’re always ready to go and they don’t make excuses, right?

So, I think there’s something that we can learn from that because I think it’s very valuable when you’re trying to get something done in the gym, but you’re always going to try to make an excuse of I can’t do it. And one thing that sort of gets to me the most is the dip. So, I’ve demonstrated dips before and I think I’m going to bring a cool little tip for you in this video. So, you’ll see that. But, there’s so many ways to do them and accomplish it if you don’t have a dip station.

Um, you could do them so many different places. I’m going to cover that. But you also people will say, “Well, they’re not that hard. I kind of got strong enough and they don’t really tax my body anymore. So, you know, what can I get some crazy dogs?

What can I do to, you know, make them harder and they say, I don’t want to go out and buy a weight belt. So, let’s learn another thing from the dogs and let’s actually steal one of their tools here and do and let me show you what you could do real simple. This is a regular dog leash, guys. Nothing nothing crazy about it. What I’m going to do is I’m going to turn a dog leash into a dipping belt.

I’m going to simply just run this through here, you know, through the weight, and I’m going to hook it through on the leash itself. Okay. Then I’m just going to step through through the belt through the belt. Pick it up. Just rest this over the back of the hips.

The weight alone is going to actually set it in. And then come over here for my dips. Just lift my knees just a little bit. And now I’ve got a 45 lb weighted dip with about a 80 dipping belt. Okay, so that’s number one.

Now, let’s say you don’t have a dip station. Well, one thing I’ve actually used before and told you to do before is take a kitchen counter. Anywhere in your kitchen, you’re going to have a counter like that, a corner of your kitchen counter, put one hand on this side of it, one hand on this side of it, and you can do your dips right in there. So, that one you’re going to have access to most anywhere. I’ve also set up a bar in a rack.

If you’ve got a, you know, like a squat rack or something at home, but you don’t have a dip setup, it’s simple. Well, again, what you do here is set the straight bar up. You’re going to hover over the top of it, and you’re going to come down straight, real close to the bar. This one, actually, I feel gets a little bit more lower chest than even a regular dip because you’re kind of hovering over and getting more over the top of it. So, it would look something like this.

So, I’m here. As I come down, I got to kind of lean forward more and then up. So, I kind of straighten up as I come up. But I lean in and forward so I can keep the weight and my center of gravity where it should be. Okay.

And lastly, I’m going to walk over. Darla, come here, Darla. I’m going to walk over here to the treadmill. And a lot of people have purchased treadmills that are doing nothing but collecting dust in the house. And I’m telling you, come on, guys.

Real obvious as a dipping station here. up, straight down. And another option to get your dips in if you don’t think you have something. So, as you can see, guys, there’s a lot of ways that we can do dips. And it’s not just dips, it’s everything.
