What’s up, guys? Jeff Cavaliere, ATHLEANX. COM. A very different video for you here. Yes, it’s up close and personal yet again.
But I thought there was something very unique about tonight that’s not so unique in my life but unique that I finally grasp the idea that this might be something very valuable for my guys that watch me to see, right. The first thing I want to show is, I’m down here in my gym working out, but more importantly, you can see the time is 9:30 at night, k. Dark outside, just to prove. Now, what am I doing down here at 9:30 at night? I ask myself that question a lot and when it happens to me I’m always saying, ‘Jesus, you’re crazy for getting down here and putting yourself through this torture when I should probably be upstairs relaxing on the couch.
’ Guys, I think the main thing you have to understand is, we’re all faced with these choices. I know I’m not unique at all. I have a busy day. I come home. I spend some time with my family.
I get ready to work out. The easiest thing in the world for me to do is say, ‘No. Forget it. I’m not going to do it. ’ Right.
Most guys would say no. But I have a thing that I keep down here in the gym just in case I ever start to feel that way. And I write it on the board. I keep it back here in this corner. It says, ‘Someday is not a day of the week.
’ Because we all know, ‘someday’ is one of our favorite days of the week. Most of us say, ‘Someday I’m going to start training. ’ ‘Someday, I’m going to train a little bit harder than I do now. Someday, I’m going to start working my abs more frequently. ’ Someday is not a day of the week, guys.
It’s the most favorite time for us to push everything off to because guess what? It’s never going to come. If you want to get yourself at another place, if you don’t want to be average. Average guys wouldn’t be down here. Average guys wouldn’t get up at 5:30 in the morning, if that’s what you are.
You’re one of those guys that works out before you go to work, and you dread every minute of dragging yourself out of bed when everybody else in the world is still sleeping. Average guys don’t go directly from work and stop at the gym before they come home because they’d rather just get home, have dinner, and be done with their day. But if you’re not looking to be average then you’ve got to do things the average guy wouldn’t do, and that’s what I think the most important part of this video is. Forget that I’m down here at 9:30. I’m no Superman.
I’m just determined to make sure that I’m not average. Guys ask me all the time, ‘Jeff, how do you stay so lean every single day of the year, 365 days a year? ’ Because I don’t want to be average. The average guy lets himself have the sweets, and he indulges in his drinks 2, 3 times a week, and guys, I don’t want to be average. Now, I’m not saying that everybody out there that’s watching has to have the same goals that I do, but whatever the goals are that you establish, establish them and then stick to them.
And it doesn’t matter if unpredictable things happen during the day that take you out of your perfect workout time. I can’t remember the last time I worked out in my perfect workout time. I think if I could choose any time of the day, I would feel most energetic at about 11:30 in the morning. The last time I worked out at 11:30 in the morning, I was in college. So, make yourself aware of the fact that 90 days from now, as we say with our program, you’re going to be regretting what you didn’t start doing today.
And the guy that starts today is going to be 89 days closer to that goal tomorrow. And in 2 days from now, he’s going to be 88 days closer to that goal the next day. And all he’s got to do is get his ass into the gym or to that workout and if you can’t get to the gym, you’ve got to create a home environment that you can work out in. And if you don’t have equipment, then use the ATHLEAN XERO Program, something that doesn’t even require anything. But stop the excuses.
You’ve got to get yourself going, and there’s no good time. There’s no good time. You’ve got to just get yourself aware of the fact that If you start today, you are going to be much happier with where you are tomorrow. And as a living example of this guys, I’m a real person. I have real things that come up in my life.
I don’t have an ideal schedule either. But I will tell you this, I don’t want to be average. I never wanted to be. I never will be. And that’s what’s going to make me get down here in this gym and do what I have to do.
And I know that everybody out there that watches me, that gets inspired by my videos, that learns from my videos, that gives me the positive feedback on what we do, I know you don’t want to be average either. It’s just sometimes it’s very difficult for you to get over that hump. Let this example of me here at 9:30 at night on somewhat of a miserable day be something to inspire you to say, ‘You know what, if that son-of-a-bitch can do it, I can do it, too! ’ and get yourself going. Alright, guys, a little departure from what we normally do here, but let me know if you found this helpful.
