now you’re stressed because you overate, right? Or you’re gaining weight. All right, next one.Do you eat when you’re fatigued? A lot of people eat to get energy because they’re tired.So that’s a big one. They might eat when they’re bored. So if you’re in lockdown or quarantine,you definitely are going to be bored. So you may have a tendency to eat, especially late at night.or you might eat when you’re happy, okay? A lot of people use food as a reward. And then you have
being depressed. People eat when they’re depressed because they’re trying to uplift themselves usingfood. And lastly, people eat if they’re hungry, okay? So just type in which one of these you fitinto. The correct answer is F right here, okay? You’re supposed to eat when you’re hungry. Andthis is a new concept for people because there’s a lot of people eating when they’re not evenhungry. In fact, they’ll eat when they’re stuffed. They just continue to eat. Really,
the rule should be eat when you’re hungry and stop eating when you’re somewhat full.Now, one of the most powerful things you can do when you’re stuck at home in lockdown is do fasting.Why? Because fasting greatly, significantly improves your immune system. In fact,fasting has the potential to stimulate the stem cells to actually give you a new immune system.And if you actually want that extra protection, it might be smart to do more fasting. And then
the question is, what are you going to do with all your time? You’re just going to have toget busy doing productive things. Also, fasting brings a person’s mood up. It also increasestheir cognitive function. And here are a couple other things that you should probably makenote of. Do not buy junk food because if it’s in the house, you know you might be eating it.The next thing is to try to get the whole family on board with eating healthy and not keeping junk.
And you’re just going to have to explain it’s for health reasons. Right now,the people that are susceptible to this virus are those that have pre-existing health problems.They’re obese. They have diabetes. So why would you want to contribute to that? You want to goin the opposite direction. You want to get into a mode where you’re creating your health everysingle day, and you want to get your family on board as well. Because the last thing you want
is a family member getting sick, and it can be very miserable because there’s one thing,being in lockdown, and there’s another thing, being in lockdown and being sick. I highly suggestgoing on long walks if you’re allowed to go outside. But this is something that I reallyfocus on. I go for a walk one hour every single day. It’s a great stress reducer and you get moreoxygen. It’s really good for your adrenals. Staying productive, okay, vitally important
because the more idle you are, the more chance you’re going to start eating. And the problem isonce you start snacking, then snacking causes you to be hungry about an hour or two later. Sosnacking causes more snacking. And snacking on the wrong thing will cause sugar cravingseither the next day or later that day. Apple cider vinegar, really, really important in your waterto reduce hunger and also to give you energy. These are the three key vitamins that support
the immune system. Vitamin D, zinc, and vitamin C. Vitamin B1 from nutritional yeast is very,very important in keeping your stress very, very low. If you’ve never heard me talk about this,it’s quite miraculous. Taking some nutritional yeast, you can get in a little tablet,you’ll find that within minutes, your stress level goes right down. All right, next thing ispotassium or consuming potassium foods. Large amounts of leafy greens like huge salads,
that potassium will help lower stress. Potassium increases energy. And it just so happens that thevegetables that contain potassium also contain magnesium, both essential for energy as well asfeeling satisfied. So we already mentioned snacking. This is the killer right here,snacking through the day, grazing through the day. One way to prevent snacking is to make sure thatyour meals, somewhere in the meal, you’re consuming a good amount of fat, olives, avocado, MCT oil,
