Cancer is More Terrifying Than I Thought… Until I Found This
Discover how cancer develops and spreads, the biggest factors that increase cancer risk, and natural strategies to help prevent cancer by supporting your immune system and overall health.
Cancer is more terrifying than I originally thought until I learned this. Right now, you actually already have cancer cells. And I’m talking about a pre-cancer that can turn into cancer, not the active cancer. How do I prevent the cancer from growing in my body? Even within one tumor, there are dozens or sometimes hundreds of different types of cancer cells.
Each one having their own abilities. Some eat sugar, some eat protein, some survive on oxygen, some can live without oxygen, some are fast and aggressive, others are slow and even invisible. And this explains why a lot of the common treatments don’t work long-term. Chemo might kill 99% of the cancer, but it’s that 1% that survives that can literally rebuild the cancer from scratch. There are five things I want to share with you that kind of just knocked me off my chair.
I had no idea. Number one, cancer sends scouts. These little packages travel to the distant organs and they begin laying the groundwork, remodeling the tissue, making the tissue cancer-friendly. So, they’re planning an invasion even before it happens. Number two, cancer has the ability to turn your own immune cells against you.
Number three, cancer physically steals energy from your immune cells. It sounds like science fiction, and as the cancer cells get stronger, the immune system dies out. Number four, the most dangerous cancer cells are the quietest ones. You know, we think about cancer as a fast, aggressive, dividing ball of cells, but many times the cells that don’t get killed, the ones that cause relapse, they’re the cancer stem cells, and they’re the opposite. They grow really slowly, very quietly.
Standard chemotherapy is designed to kill the fast dividing cells, not the slow ones. And again, this is why you wipe out 99% of the cancer, but that 1% can kind of come back and rebuild the whole thing over again. Number five, drug resistance already exists before the treatment starts. Science found drug resistant cells hiding in the tumor cells before the first dosage of medication was ever given. Now, I am going to give you the best solution to this depressing problem, but there’s just some really fundamental things that you have to know about cancer of exactly what it is.
Every cell in your body follows two simple rules. Number one, only divide when the body tells you to. Number two, die when the body tells you to. And that’s it. That’s what a cancer cell is.
It’s a cell that stopped following orders from the body. Let me just go through the different stages of development. And I’m going to make this really, really simple cuz I’m not going to give you the technical name at first. I’m just going to kind of describe the technical name so you could understand what’s happening. So, the first stage is the cell is just multiplying a little too fast.
That’s called hyperplasia. This is a pre, pre, pre cancer cell, okay? Then you get the next stage, which is multiplying fast, and they start looking weird. Same problem, but now the cells are starting to look a little strange. Still not full and active cancer, but it’s going in that direction.
And then we get identity crisis, okay? This is called metaplasia. The tissue starts changing what it is. So, it’s not a full-blown cancer yet, but it’s starting to change its identity. And then we get the next stage, which is clearly abnormal.
That’s called dysplasia. The cells look completely wrong under a microscope. Now, what you have to realize is only 5 to 15% of these cells actually go into the next stage right here, and the good news is your body is actively correcting this and quietly reversing this problem. Okay, so your body is trying to repair at every different stage. All right, the next stage is the cancer that has not escaped yet.
This is called carcinoma in situ. This is actual cancer, but it hasn’t been broken out of its location yet. And then we move to it’s moving. Okay, this is called invasive cancer. Now it’s spreading locally to the surrounding tissues.
And then it moves into this. It’s traveling. Okay, this is a metastatic cancer. Now it’s moved to other organs through the bloodstream or the lymph system. And this is the most dangerous stage right here.
There’s a scientific debate worth talking about. You have the traditional view where DNA mutations come first and then something damages the genetic code and then the cell starts to behaving abnormally. But there’s a growing body of research that talks about that whole thing being just the opposite. The cell’s behavior and the environmental change happens first through what’s called epigenetics. That’s your environment.
That’s lifestyle factors. And then the DNA mutations happen after. Now this really matters enormously because if the environment comes first, like I just mentioned, then the environment is where the prevention lives. If it’s the other way around and it’s all about genetic mutations, then what can you do about it? You’re screwed.
If your environment is off, everything else struggles. It’s like a fish tank. Pollute the water and the fish gets sick. You could feed them the best food. You can treat every single symptom, but if the water stays toxic, nothing recovers.
The body runs on 10 signals like insulin, cortisol, inflammation, sleep quality, gut function. Every one of them affects how you feel. But there is always one signal that is more broken than the rest. And until you fix that one, everything else stays stuck. I built a free 2-minute quiz that finds it for you.
It tells you which one of the main signals is holding your body back right now. Click the link in the description, take the quiz, and stop guessing. Now, as far as the nature of cancer, there’s a couple more things you need to know. One of the biggest signals for growth in our body is insulin. So, this is why every time you eat, especially sugar and refined carbs, insulin increases.
It tells the cells to build, divide, grow, even store fat. Well, in cancer, that signal is jammed. So, in other words, it doesn’t wait for a permission to turn on or turn off. It’s on constantly. Its goal is to build and grow as fast as possible from all this glucose that it’s eating up.
Because when the cancer cell consumes all this glucose, it is creating all this lactic acid, your immune system gets paralyzed. But, insulin is a really important growth factor. In fact, the medication metformin, which is for type 2 diabetes, that helps lower insulin because it improves insulin resistance, apparently also reduces the risk of cancer by 25 to 40%. That then could lead us to strategies like prolonged fasting. What does that do?
That completely shuts down the resources for cancer. Whereas your own body cells can deal with prolonged fasting very easily, the cancer cells are kind of already living on the edge, and you just push them over the edge when you do prolonged fasting. You have a very important cell. It’s called the guardian cell. And there’s a protein P53.
When P53 detects a cell with serious damage, it stops the cell from dividing, and then also it tries to fix the damage in the cell if it can. If it can’t fix it, it’ll encourage the cell to self-destruct. This prevents the continuation of that mutation into cancer. The second thing you should know about is your own immune system. That’s your real weapon, especially the natural killer cells.
Those are the cells that actually go out and kill cancer, they kill viruses. They’re super important. They patrol the body constantly looking for cells that have signs of abnormal surface proteins so they can destroy them. Let’s say for example you only get 4 hours of sleep one night. The natural killer cells drop their activity by 30%.
