The Solution to Panic Attacks – Dr. Berg

Hey guys, I had someone suggest that I do a video on panic attacks, okay? So I’m goingto talk about that. The sensation or the emotion of panic is an extreme anxiety or extremefear. And there’s legitimate reasons why you would be in that state. If a tiger is chasingyou, if there’s an earthquake, you’re going to go into that state. But what I’m goingto talk about is the more physical body causes of panic attacks that could occur. Now, the adrenal

glands respond to stress and adapt the body to stress states. And if there’s a definite triggerfor the adrenal that then causes the panic attacks, then it’s either a spike in cortisolor a spike in adrenaline. So if there’s definitely a trigger, then this is the area that I wouldfocus on. But this is usually not the case. A lot of times people get panic attacks for no reason,just out of the blue. And that usually comes from a condition called hypoglycemia, low blood sugar.

Now, it could happen after you’re eating or a few hours after you’re eating, or if you go too longwithout eating. And what happens, hypoglycemia is caused by insulin resistance. And what’shappening with insulin resistance is you have a situation where the insulin is not working anymore,so your body’s making more insulin. So you have high levels of insulin that then can drive thatsugar way down here. And when the blood sugar goes too low in the brain, all sorts of things

can happen with your emotions, depression, weepiness, anxiety, panic, fear, anger, irritability,all sorts of things. So that’s really what’s triggering these panic attacks, especially ifyou then eat food and you suddenly feel better. Then we know it’s hypoglycemia. That’s a reallysimple test. Now, one of the best nutrients for this would be potassium. And you’d want to geta good amount of it from vegetables. I would highly recommend that you do the keto and

intermittent fasting plan to ultimately correct this and run your body on ketones, which is amuch more stable fuel. And it’s very unlikely you’re going to have these lower emotions kickin. So if you’re running on blood sugars all day, it’s going to be up and down, up and down.but if you run in ketones, it’ll be very, very level and stable. So actually your mood will beelevated. It wouldn’t hurt also to take vitamin B1 from nutritional yeast because that also
